About Us
Established by Alan & Debra Lindner in 1983, The Blue Canoe has had a few other operators, but, the 27 year history has always included the Lindners one way or another, whether they wanted it to or not…… they never seemed to stay away for long. This kind of devotion and dedication to their business goes to show that they love what they do and are committed to providing excellent service to their customers.
Located on Highway 78 just a couple of miles past Walter’s Ferry crossing on the Snake River toward Murphy, in the area designated Guffey, after the historic town site by the same name. There is also the Guffey Railroad Bridge, now a foot bridge for Celebration Park and Guffey Butte, home of the famous Devil’s Tooth Rock . The Blue Canoe specializes in locally harvested crawdads, and is home to excellent steak, seafood and everything in between. The menu includes appetizers like; Stuffed Mushrooms, Devil Tails and Shrimp Cocktail. Entrees include; Angel’s Wings, Chicken Cordon ‘Blue’, Baby Back Ribs, King Crab, Lobster Tail, Top Sirloin, Ribeye, Prime Rib and 16 oz T-Bones (which are usually Porterhouse). They always have great sandwiches, burgers, salads and a kids menu too.
Whether you’re headed to Silver City to explore Idaho’s premiere ghost town, the Owyhee County Historical Museum in Murphy to take a look at the colorful local history, on a hunting or fishing trip or just out for a fun or romantic drive, be sure to make The Blue Canoe part of your plans.
